William Watkins - Yorkley Born 1884 (General)

I am trying to trace details of a William Watkins, my great grandfather (unfortunately, I have little information). I am unable to find a birth record for him. On his death certificate his date of birth is 12/4/1884 and place of birth Yorkley, but how accurate this is, I don't know. I have a marriage certificate but this took place in Nuneaton, Warwickshire which I think he moved to at some point, worked as a miner, married and died there.

William's father's name was also William Watkins, as on his son's marriage certificate. I have found a William Watkins, shoe maker, in the Kelly's Directory 1879 for Yorkley but I'm not sure if this is his father, as on the marriage certificate I have for his son, his occupation is a miner??.

I would appreciate any information anyone may think would help.
