Charles was the second son of Mr Albert Adams, of Lower Ruspidge He was a fireman at Lightmoor Collier and joined up at the age of 22 in June 1915 His elder brother James was also missing in action at the Dardenelles in 1915 He is remembered on Helles Memorial on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey.
