I am trying to find relatives of Alfred Henry James Beard born 1915 son of Bertha Lane 1893 and Henry Beard 1888, they lived at Pound Cottage/House Longhope.
Alfred joined the 7th Bn Parachute Regiment , L/Cpl 5678355 Beard was killed when his plane was shot down on D Day 6 June 1944, he is buried at La Delivrande Cemetery.
I was told he might be the unnamed soldier on the photo, Sgts Houndslow,Jarvis,Beech and L/Cpl Denham were in the same plane when they were shot down, all on board were killed
