Dowdings and Mr Bullock

Dowdings and Mr Bullock

Photo originally in the possession of my ancestor Rosina
Dowding (1871 - 1960).
This photo shows the 3 men at arms are known to be two of Rosina
Dowding's brothers and a Mr Bullock.

I know that Archibald (1884 - 1961) and Edgar (1881 - 1917) both served
in WW1 and both married two sisters Sarah and Edith Bullock so suspect
that the elder gentleman is their father Charles Bullock of Longhope
Glouc. b.1849. I also believe that they were both army reservists which
could date the photo around 1900.

Edgar Dowding was killed in action on 31st July 1917 Remembered or
Buried in BRANDHOEK NEW MILITARY Cemetery IIC11. He served as a private in 13th (Service)
Battalion (Forest of Dean) (Pioneer) Gloucestershire Regiment.
